Welcome to French Newcastle, online classes specifically developed for learning everyday French!

I am pleased to welcome you to this innovative programme which will allow intermediate and advanced learners to immerse themselves in the French language and make specific progress.

My programme is designed for people who wish to improve their French, whether they are intermediate or advanced. I use the flipped classroom method, which involves learners studying the course content in advance, at their own pace, through videos, readings and interactive exercises. Afterwards, the live online classes are devoted to oral practice, problem solving and discussion. No textbook needed!

You will have access to an online platform called Padlet, which will allow you to watch, read and practice French anytime, anywhere.

I am a native and qualified teacher and have extensive experience in teaching adults. During the lessons, I will be there to guide you, give you feedback and help you progress throughout your learning process. I have also planned group activities, such as prepared conversations or puzzle solving, so that you can practice your French in a friendly and stimulating environment.

Online French Classes

Welcome to French Newcastle Online Classes designed exclusively for those who are eager to enhance their linguistic skills and connect with fellow language enthusiasts. My carefully crafted curriculum focuses on providing an engaging and enriching learning experience that combines language proficiency with cultural exploration.

Weekly online classes:

Monday: 6pm-7pm- French conversation club (from B1+) –FULLY BOOKED

Tuesday: 9.30am – 11.30am – LOWER ADVANCED French – FULLY BOOKED

Wednesday: 9am -11am- ADVANCED French – FULLY BOOKED

Wednesday: 1pm-3pm – Higher Advanced French –FULLY BOOKED

Bonjour! I’m Emilie.

I’m an easy-going, fully qualified and experienced language teacher from the North-East of France.

Since 2005, I have been teaching French in different countries and I have been running my own French language school for 10 years.

My objective is to help adults feel comfortable and motivated in learning French as it’s spoken in the real world. In order to do this, I have developed a wide range of techniques and engaging activities.

I am a qualified linguist and modern language teacher who specialises in teaching French at intermediate and advanced levels.

My qualifications:

  • PGCE Secondary French with German (Newcastle University)
  • Master in Linguistics (Université Nancy II)
  • Degree in Applied Languages (Université Nancy II)
  • Diploma in Interpreting

Over 18 years’ experience

Learning a language should be for life, fun and appealing. In my classes, you are encouraged to focus on messages and to adopt a trial- and-error approach to the language.

The focus of each lesson is to get you to talk as much as possible, so you can gain confidence in speaking French.
