I am not sure of my level? Which class is the best for me?
I recommend that you check the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the “Test your level‘ section on my website. During your free discovery call on Zoom, I will alsso assess your current proficiency level in French and ensure that the course you’re interest in aligns with your needs (please use the contact form).
Will I be speaking with a native speaker?
You will mostly be speaking with other students in groups of 2 or 3. I will join each group to help and give feedback.
Do I need a textbook?
No, you don’t. Because the lessons are focused on everyday modern French, I curate authentich and recent documents. All the exercises are interactive and designed by me. However, you can choose to use a grammar book if you find it useful.
The term has already started. Can I still join a class?
You can join classes at the beginning of each term (every 10 weeks).
Will there be tests? Or formal examinations? Or certificates?
There will informal tests in the form of quizzes every week! There are no formal examinations or examination, as I believe they do not reflect everyday spoken French and hinder confidence. If you need a certificate of attentence, I can produce one on request.
I can’t come every week. Do you offer Ad Hoc or Pay As You Go?
You can only register per term (10 weeks).
Can I try a lesson for free?
The groups are in high demand and trial lessons are not offered. However, you will get a free discovery call of 30 minutes on Zoom during which you’ll get a glimpse of the activities and course preparation. It’s a great opportunity to see if the classes suit your needs. Contact me to book your free call.
How do I pay for the classes?
You can pay by BACS or with Stripe payments (a small extra fee occurs for Stripe payments).
